Mikhail Ryabko, Colonel of the Special Operations Unit with the Russian Military, former Chief Instructor of tactical training for the Emergency Response Team, former Advisor to the Supreme Judge of the Russian Federation.

Mikhail Ryabko was trained from the age of five and involved in combative training from the age of fifteen. He was a tactical commander of hostage-rescue teams, counter-terrorist operations, and armed criminal neutralization. Mikhail resides in Moscow, holds the rank of Colonel, and was a Special Advisor to the Supreme Judge of the Russian Federation. He continues to train his many students as the Master Teacher of Systema. He has been in numerous military campaigns and holds many government medals and awards. Vladimir Vasiliev, Director and Chief Instructor of Systema Headquarters.

Born in Russia, Vladimir received intense combative training and is the top student of Mikhail Ryabko. Vladimir moved to Canada and in 1993 founded the first school of Russian Martial Art outside Russia – Systema Headquarters. He has since personally trained and certified well over 500 qualified Russian Martial Art instructors and schools in 30 countries worldwide, and has provided an Award-Winning instructional film collection.

Major Konstantin Komarov is a retired Russian Special Forces officer, having served with both GRU and elite MVD Spetsnaz units, and is a decorated war veteran.

He holds a PhD in Psychology, and continues to provide training and consulting services to various Russian military and Spetsnaz units. He was integrally involved in the development of Russia’s counter-terror tactics, including its terrorist-hostage negotiation techniques.

Major Komarov has served as the principal negotiator in numerous terrorist-hostage sieges, and was part of the negotiating team at the Nord Ost Theater siege in Moscow in October 2002, where he developed psychological profiles on the identified terrorists, among his other duties.

Konstatin is a Senior Instructor in Systema and regularly teaches classes in Mikhail Ryabko’s school in Moscow as well as at other locations.
